Michael Dunlop potrebbe entrare nella storia

Michael Dunlop potrebbe entrare nella storia del Tourist Trophy come pilota più vittorioso in una sola edizione. Negli scorsi giorni il nipote di Joey ha messo a segno delle vittorie schiaccianti in Superbike, Supersport (gara1 e gara2) e Superstock, ovvero 4 vittorie sulle 4 gare disputate in questa edizione. Il record dell'en-plain di 5 vittorie fatto segnare da Ian Hutchinson nel 2010 potrebbe essere battuto quest'anno, perchè Mickey ha la possibilità di vincere ancora il Senior TT e la Lightweight, quindi 6 vittorie in tutto. Finora il suo dominio è stato schiacciante in tutte le categorie, anche nell'ultima gara Supersport ha condotto una lotta con il veterano Bruce Anstey, con una zampata finale che è quasi un capolavoro: con 17’35″659, a 128.666 miglia orarie ha battuto il suo stesso record siglato nel 2010. Venerdì ci saranno le ultime due gare: la mattina tre giri per la Lightweight (moto 650 biciclindriche derivate dalla serie) e alle 13 partirà l'evento principale, il Senior TT, dove tutti proveranno a battere l'incontenibile erede della dinastia Dunlop.
