Yamaha Tmax usato: pregi, difetti, cosa controllare
Punti di forza È costruito con cura, le finiture sono realizzate per durare, le plastiche e le verniciature sono di qualità. Brillanti le prestazioni: il TMax accelera forte e arriva quasi a 160 km/h. La tenuta di strada è adeguata, grazie anche al buon telaio e al motore in mezzo alla pedana (invece che vicino alla ruota posteriore come sugli altri scooter): una soluzione che permette di ripartire al meglio il peso. Non è un fuscello (219 kg rilevati) ma in movimento è agile e svelto nell’impostare le curve. Buono anche lo sterzo: in mezzo al traffico si manovra sempre bene. La frenata è molto buona, ma se trovate un (raro) esemplare con ABS non lasciatevelo scappare. Dal 2008 è arrivata la nuova versione con carrozzeria rivista, ma la sostanza è la stessa.
Punti deboli I costi di gestione sono alti: i tagliandi costano e i consumi sono in linea con le prestazioni, soprattutto sulle versioni a carburatori. La situazione è un po’ migliorata sulle versioni a iniezione (in vendita dal 2004), da preferire perché hanno la ruota dietro da 15 pollici invece che da 14. Piccolo il vano sottosella. Indispensabile un buon antifurto: il TMax è ricercato dai ladri.
